1st Aldi Christmas market
Probably the cheapest Christmas market in Munich and the whole of Germany! While the prices for mulled wine, bratwurst and the like continue to rise at most markets, Aldi Süd offers an inexpensive alternative. Here you can buy mulled wine and cookies for just €1 and crêpes and bratwurst for just €2. You can discover these great prices in the parking lots of the Aldi store at Zielstattstraße 73 – but beware: the Christmas market is only open for two days! So, don’t miss out and stop by quickly!

2nd Christmas market at Marienplatz
The Christmas market on Marienplatz is one of the most famous Christmas markets in Munich – and a real highlight in Germany. With over 130 festively decorated stalls, the market offers a wide selection: From artfully handcrafted Christmas decorations to delicious regional specialties, there is something for every taste.
A special highlight is the atmospheric live Advent music that can be heard from the balcony of Munich City Hall every Sunday to Thursday, putting visitors in a festive Christmas mood.
Particularly worth seeing is the Krampus run on December 8, when around 300 Krampus and Perchten parade through the streets, bringing Alpine Christmas culture to life with their traditional masks and costumes. For families with children, there is the “Himmelswerkstatt”, where young visitors can do handicrafts.

3rd Tollwood Winter Festival
The Oktoberfest in autumn, a magical winter wonderland in winter: the Tollwood Winter Festival on Munich’s Theresienwiese. This extraordinary Christmas market transforms the cold season into a festival of colors, sounds and aromas. 5th Alpenwahn at the Viktualienmarkt
The famous Viktualienmarkt not only offers fresh variety all year round, but also a special experience during Advent. 7th Christmas market at the Chinese Tower
In the heart of the English Garden, a true winter wonderland awaits you: the traditional Christmas market at the Chinese Tower. 10th Star Fleet on the Alte Utting
This Christmas market stands out from the traditional markets due to its unique location on a former excursion steamer. The Alte Ut ting, which is located on a bridge between the Grossmarkt and Viehhof in Sendling, is transformed into a true winter wonderland in the run-up to Christmas. Festively decorated stalls offer mulled wine, delicious food and handmade gifts, while a spectacular change of scenery awaits you on board the historic steamer, taking the festive atmosphere to a whole new level.
