Munich is gaining several new festivals this year: In May, things got kinky at Libellenlust, and Reborn will wrap up the season in September. The Heartbeatz Festival is also joining the ranks of new open-air events and will celebrate its premiere in mid-June. It was originally supposed to take place near Neuperlach in an old gravel pit, but now the event is moving.
That’s why Heartbeatz is moving
Heartbeatz was originally scheduled to last three days, from Friday, June 12, to Sunday, June 14. Due to the last-minute relocation, the organizer has now shortened the open-air festival to two days, so that it will only take place on June 13 and 14. The reason for the move was complaints from local residents on the one hand and concerns from conservationists on the other.
The gravel pit, where the Mächler company once operated, borders directly on a nature reserve, whose habitat would be disturbed by the approximately 40,000 expected visitors . Local residents, in turn, are concerned about the noise and trash the festival would generate. The organizers counter that the available noise assessment certifies minimal noise pollution. Nevertheless, they decided to move Heartbeatz to Moosach, to the Lucky Star.
New format featuring big and small stars

Despite the rescheduling and shortening of Heartbeatz, all announced artists will be performing for you that weekend. Your tickets remain valid if you have already purchased them. Even though Heartbeatz is a new event, it already boasts some big names. The headliner is none other than the internationally renowned DJ Robin Schulz, who creates summer vibes with his electronic beats. Other well-known names include Gzuz, Mike Singer, and Emily Rose, who will also be performing for you.
The festival’s genre mix includes German rap, urban sounds, and pop, offering a stage not only to well-known names but also to newcomers. Weekend tickets cost €119.90; Saturday tickets are €79.90 and Sunday tickets are €69.90. In addition, an after-party with surprise guests awaits you on both days, for which you can also purchase tickets for €18.90. Proceeds from the festival will benefit charitable causes such as the German Children’s Cancer Aid.
