Munich can do Christmas markets – both classic ones, such as on Marienplatz or in the Residenz, and alternative ones, such as the Moonlight Express or the Fairytale Bazaar. If you can’t get enough of the second type, you should definitely visit the Christmas markets at the Bauwagen-Café am Mollsee in Westpark and the Hexenhaus under the railroad bridge in Giesing. Here you can sit together comfortably, enjoy the special atmosphere and be inspired by the shows.
Gans Woanders: Winter rapture in the Hexenhaus

Gans Woanders is a popular hotspot, especially in summer , for sitting outside on wooden planks between the trees and chatting over rosemary fries at the end of a long, sunny day. In winter, the days are not as long and even if the sun is shining, it will probably have set by the time you get here. But that doesn’t matter, because the small Winterrausch Christmas market at the Hexenhaus is very cozy and invites you to linger.
In addition to the culinary offerings, there are also a few artisans and craftspeople that you can visit in the tents. You might even find a Christmas present or two here. Listen to the live music while you warm yourself by the fire bowl or watch one of the spectacular fire or acrobatic shows. You can dance yourself warm to hot DJ sets in the Rumpelkammer and experience the real winter rush in the Hexenhaus.

Sitting by the lake in Westpark in spring and enjoying a cake from Café Lozzi – that’s how most people know Gans am Wasser. But just like at Gans Woanders, you can also have a great time here in winter. The Winterzauber also welcomes you with fire bowls, delicacies and hot drinks such as punch and mulled wine.
A comprehensive cultural program also awaits you here at the weekend. In the stable tent, you can enjoy live music and children’s theater on stage. The little ones can roast stick bread at the campfire and you can enjoy the fire show together. Another special feature is the Deaf Day on 14 December, when the program will be available in two languages to promote participation.
