While the Oktoberfest is still being dismantled, the next tents are already being pitched on the Theresienwiese. Soon it will once again be transformed into a colorful winter festival that brings color to the dreary season. But Tollwood is more than just an ordinary Christmas market. You can expect fascinating live performances, concerts, tattoos and a fun New Year’s Eve party! From November 25th, it’s back under the motto “Now more than ever!”.
The market

If you’re looking for a classic Christmas market, you’ve come to the wrong place. Nevertheless, you don’t have to do without traditional delicacies here, because Tollwood proves that international street food and German Christmas delicacies can coexist wonderfully. Flammlachs, bratwurst and mulled wine can be found here as well as apple punch, curry and bao buns. The numerous stalls make it difficult to make a decision. And that’s just the outdoor area! If it’s too cold outside, take refuge in the dining room or the food plaza. Even more delicious food awaits you here and you can sit down comfortably.
If you brave the temperatures outside instead, you will be rewarded with the sight of the artistic decorations. Colorful planets, a spinning glittering alicorn and a Christmas tree made of disco balls are just a few of the works you can admire. You can warm yourself by the fire bowl and marvel at the walking acts that pass by again and again. If you want to warm up with some exercise, stop by the curling rink.
Once you’ve regained your strength, you’re ready to go shopping. The largest selection awaits you in the bazaar, where you can find everything from clothing to liqueurs, decorations, scented sticks and jewelry. There are not only earrings and necklaces, but also other body jewelry such as piercings. The bravest among you can get a tattoo on the spot. If the bazaar is too busy for you, go to the smaller mercato instead, where you can also buy new treasures.
Circus program “Terces” and other performances
Johann Le Guillerm, an old acquaintance, returns to this year’s Tollwood Winter Festival and knows how to enchant with his magical show. You can’t expect a classic acrobatic or magic show, but a poetic spectacle that combines light, sound and machinery. Nothing is as it seems and yet everything is completely real. “Terces”, which is Secret backwards, is the third edition of his show series in which he presents his equally mysterious apparatuses.
