In the summer of 2025, a new rooftop bar opened in the Werksviertel, giving the MH5 Roof on Werk3 some competition. “Oben tolle Terrasse offen” was the name of the pop-up on Werk4, known as Otto for short. In the fall, the bar opened on the 25th floor of the building, and with that, Otto 25 was born and became a permanent fixture in eastern Munich. Since then, it has proudly claimed the title of Munich’s highest bar, which also boasts the highest rooftop terrace in the summer.
The advantage of Otto 25 is that you can visit it year-round, even on rainy days. That way, you can always enjoy the wonderful view over Munich—and on clear days, even as far as the Alps. As you sit up here sipping your cocktail or glass of wine, the sun sinks behind the Frauenkirche, bathing the entire city in its orange-red light. During the warmer months, when the weather is nice, the terrace is open, and you can watch the sunset under the open sky. On all other days, you can simply retreat indoors.

You’ll find 10 wines by the glass, 20 different cocktails, and even a few mocktails for those of you who prefer not to drink alcohol. The signature “Otto 25” spritz—made with gin, raspberry, lime, vanilla, and Prosecco—offers the perfect blend for a sunny evening on the terrace.
It’s especially worth stopping by on Wednesdays, when you’ll get 20% off Spritze, whereas on Sundays there’s 20% off all wines. On both days, a pianist also performs, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Listen to the gentle melodies and enjoy a wonderful evening—perfect for a date.
