2026 is a year full of anniversaries in Munich: Currently, the Spring Festival is running a week longer than usual to mark its 60th anniversary, and the tram has even been rolling through the city for 150 years. And the Long Night of Music also marks a milestone this year . For a quarter of a century now, the event has been transforming Munich into a giant concert hall and offering you a unique cultural experience.
Blues tram, karaoke, dancing, and more

To celebrate the anniversary, the 25th Long Night of Music offers an extensive program that takes you on various tours throughout the city. You can enjoy over 400 concerts at 100 venues or showcase your own musical talent at karaoke. Every conceivable genre is represented, from jazz and pop to classical music. In addition to DJ sets, choral performances, and live concerts, dance and drag shows also await you. You can also hit the dance floor yourself and get active with line dancing, Lindy Hop, or salsa.
In addition to major venues and smaller spots like the Fat Cat, Gasteig, the Theatinerkirche, or the Park Café, the tram itself turns into a stage. The “Ois is Blues” tram takes you on a musical city tour that starts and ends at Sendlinger Tor. You can hop on and off at any point along the route, so the tram serves not only as a unique concert experience but also as a means of transportation to other venues. For this purpose, the MVG is also operating several shuttle buses, which you can use for free with your ticket.
6 hours of music galore

The Long Night of Music begins on Saturday, May 9, at 8 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. During this time, you can take full advantage of the musical offerings on the Downtown, Schwabing, East, and South tours.
