Bagel lovers in Munich have been truly spoiled lately. Just this past June, Vollath’s Bagel Bar opened at Sendlinger Tor, and the next opening is already coming up in August. After enjoying great popularity in Hamburg, the New York Bagel Bar is finally coming to Munich.
From NYC to Hamburg to Munich
It all started with a semester abroad in New York and continued with the first store in Hamburg. Since 2021, the New York Bagel Bar has been in Hamburg—not just once, but six times over. The success story isn’t over yet, because since then, the chain has been on an expansion course across the entire country. Following Berlin, Munich can now also look forward to its very own New York Bagel Bar. It opens its doors on Saturday, August 15, at Hohenzollerstr. 45. Where there used to be a deli, you’ll soon be able to get the finest New York-style bagels!

Bagels in every variety
The New York Bagel Bar stands out not least for its wide variety. Look forward to a wide selection of signature bagels, available with meat, vegetarian, or vegan fillings. Whether with pastrami and cheddar, cream cheese and salmon, or hummus and falafel, there’s something for everyone here. And if you can’t find anything that suits your taste on the menu , you can simply create your own bagel. The bagels themselves come in various varieties, such as plain, with sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or—very Bavarian-style—as a pretzel bagel.
The bagel is served with a variety of cream cheeses, a wide range of fillings and toppings, and a sauce to finish it off. So nothing stands in the way of you enjoying a New York-style breakfast. Of course, there’s also freshly brewed coffee to go with it. And you don’t have to skip dessert at the New York Bagel Bar either. Vegan cinnamon rolls, brownies, cookies, and banana bread are waiting for you and make the perfect finishing touch.
