In the late 1960s, gravel was needed for the expansion of the A95 , which was excavated from the fields of farmer Cornelius Kutschke. This created a pit that eventually began to fill with groundwater. Cornelius, whose nickname was “Bibi,” saw an opportunity in this and turned Bibisee into a swimming paradise for the whole family.
Here, you can do more than just swim and relax on the shore— you’ll also have all the amenities of a modern swimming pool. Whiz down the 50-meter-long slide straight into the lake and swim on to the swimming island. There, you can rest and sunbathe or jump into the water. Bibisee is part of the municipality of Königsdorf and is located right on the B11. To visit the swimming area, admission is €4 for adults and €3 for children. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., you can take a quick dip at reduced prices, and after 6:00 p.m., admission is even free.
