Ballet of Lights in Munich: What stories will be shown?
The 60-minute show is suitable for audiences aged 5 and over and promises you a fairytale experience. More programs will be added in the future, but for now you can be enchanted by the following stories:
Ballet of Lights: Cinderella in a radiant show
We all know the popular fairy tale of Cinderella, who is treated terribly by her stepmother and his daughters and has to work for them – until one day she attends a royal ball and wins the heart of a prince. The roots of the story go back to 1697, when Charles Perrault published “Cendrillon” , which already contained the basic elements of the story we know today – in 1812, the Brothers Grimm took up his story and “Cinderella” was born. Sergei Prokofiev finally made Cinderella musically world-famous in 1945 with his ballet adaptation.
Ballet of Lights takes up this ballet adaptation and gives it a luminous twist! Look forward to a radiant dance performance, accompanied by music by Tchaikovsky, Debussy and other classical legends, and accompany Cinderella as she finds happiness through kindness, courage and a little magic.
Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a sparkling show
The story of Sleeping Beauty has its origins in the Middle Ages and was first made famous by the French author Charles Perrault. The fairy tale about the cursed princess and the saving kiss of true love has delighted young and old for centuries – and now unfolds in fresh form at Ballet of Lights. Glittering costumes, graceful dances and the poignant music of Tchaikovsky combine to create a production full of magic and elegance, in which light, movement and sound merge into a harmonious work of art – delicate, touching and timelessly beautiful.

The dazzling dance shows await you on selected dates from November at the Fat Cat cultural center in Munich and open their doors for you around 60 minutes before the event begins.
