With 130 million records sold , the Backstreet Boys are considered the most successful boy band of all time. In the 1990s and 2000s, they made the hearts of countless young fans beat faster. Now these fans have grown up and can get ready for a nostalgia trip: The boy band will be playing several shows in Germany in 2026. As with Adele in Munich, this will be a residency. This means that the concerts in Germany will be the only ones the band will play in Europe.
Back to the turn of the millennium
“Millenium” was the name of the Backstreet Boys’ third album, which was released in May 1999 and was named after the upcoming new millennium. This year, the group released “Millenium 2.0”, a remaster of the old album, supplemented by 13 tracks. These include new songs, live versions, demos and a new recording of “I Want It That Way”. There is also a new music video for the latter, in which the Backstreet Boys can once again be seen in front of an airplane, but this time with the German colors.
The new album also marked the start of their second Las Vegas residency “Into the Millenium” in July this year. The Sphere serves as a spectacular backdrop for their 18 concerts, where they have performed new and old hits such as “Hey” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”. On New Year’s Eve, there is also a show that starts later than the others so that fans can slide into the new year together with their favorite band.
“Into The Millenium: Homecoming” exclusively in Düsseldorf

If Las Vegas is too far away for you, you’ll have to wait a little longer before you can see the Backstreet Boys live again. In September and October 2026, the boy band will be playing their residency in Düsseldorf under the title “Into The Millenium: Homecoming”. Five concerts were initially planned, but three additional shows have now been added due to high demand.
These will be the Backstreet Boys’ only European concerts and will take place in the Merkur-Arena, the home arena of Fortuna Düsseldorf. The concerts will take place during the international break after the World Cup in North America. So your partner can’t put forward any reason why he or she can’t come along and you can plan a romantic, nostalgic date at a Backstreet Boys concert.
Tickets for the residency are available now and start at €96.75. If you want to travel to Düsseldorf by car, parking is available on site. However, bear in mind that you will have to walk about 20 minutes from the parking lot to the arena. If you come by train instead, take the U78 and get off at the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe-Nord stop. It is around 15 minutes by public transport from the main station to the venue.
