It’s already been a wild ride—the annual battle for festival tent reservations. If, like so many others, you weren’t lucky enough to sn ag one, don’t despair just yet. There are still ways to snag a last-minute reservation without having to shell out exorbitant sums for a (Oktoberfest) table. With these tools, you can enjoy Oktoberfest in total relaxation and won’t have to camp out in front of the tents waiting to switch tables.
Exorbitant prices for Oktoberfest tables

The Wiesn is actually not much different from a big pop concert. Getting a reservation is almost like finding the Holy Grail—at least that’s how it feels. And that’s only if you start looking months in advance and are really lucky. If you aren’t, you can try to buy reservations from other people on classifieds sites or other marketplaces , where they’re happy to charge as much as €2,000. And in the end, the whole thing turns out to be a huge scam, and you’re out a month’s salary and still don’t have a table.
It’s better to use the Oktoberfest’s official resale portal. That’s because cancellations happen all the time, and tables get returned. This way, you can snag last-minute reservations directly through the venue owners without having to pay a surcharge. However, tables that become available sell out quickly, and you’ll practically have to camp out on the site, refreshing it over and over again to snag one. But that’s now a thing of the past, thanks to these helpful tools!
Last-minute reservations thanks to notifications

Instead of constantly hitting F5 and monitoring the resale platform yourself, there’s a smart program that does the work for you. Wiesn-Scout is a website that functions like a live ticker, showing all tables as they become available. Here you can see on which day, at what time, and for which tent reservations are available. This even includes the Wiesn-Club, so you can plan your afterparty, too. If you select one of the tables, you’ll be redirected to the official sales portal, so you won’t have to pay any extra fees for your last-minute reservation. After all, Oktoberfest is expensive enough as it is!
To avoid having to constantly check the Wiesn-Scout website, you can simply set up a push notification. That way, you’ll know right away when a spot opens up. You can also download the smartphone app, which will notify you as well. In addition to Wiesn-Scout, there’s also Oktoberfest Table Alert, which works on the same principle. If you’d rather skip the last-minute reservations altogether, you can also just drop by the Wiesn on a whim. That’s because a certain number of tables aren’t available for reservation. However, these are highly sought after, especially in the evenings and on weekends.
