Additional table contingents for locals

You know it, you love it, you make fun of it on social media: the annual battle for the Wiesn tables. As a Munich resident, you can stay a little more relaxed this year, as there will be additional contingents for locals. On all Saturdays and Sundays as well as on October 3, 10% of the festival tent tables are reserved for people with their main residence in Munich. There is no minimum purchase requirement.
Watch the others race to get to the tables in the morning and make the most of your home advantage.
WC facilities at the subway station & drinking fountain

The Wiesn is equipped with many toilet facilities. But if you can’t make it to the festival grounds, you can now also relieve yourself at Theresienwiese subway station. The Wiesn itself also offers 10 free water dispensers to make up for lost fluids. However, you are not allowed to take filled bottles into the tents.
Accessibility at the Oktoberfest 2025

Wheelchair users can also easily fill up with water at the drinking fountains mentioned above. There are also some accessible rides, such as the large Ferris wheel, the wave fliers and several bumper cars. Without exception, the festival tents are obliged to provide barrier-free access.
Buy public transport tickets to the Wiesn easily with Web2Wallet

MVV is launching the Web2Wallet pilot project just in time for the Wiesn. You can buy mobile tickets easily without downloading an app or registering and save them directly on your smartphone. In addition to the regular day tickets, there will also be Airport City Day tickets. Oktoberfest 2025 was chosen as the test period due to the increased passenger volume. If the offer proves popular, it will remain in place beyond the Oktoberfest.
“A Liad für d’Wiesn”: the finalists have been chosen

The “A Liad für d’Wiesn” music competition will take place for the first time as part of Oktoberfest 2025. Three musicians have made it through to the final with their entries: Matakustix with “Hüttenliebe”, Fenzl with “Bierdringa” and Saustoimusi with “Käferbam” will compete against each other in the final round. You can still vote for your favorite until 15.09. to hear them perform live at the Wiesn 2025.
Cashless payment at the Oktoberfest 2025

468 businesses were approved for the Oktoberfest this year, 41 for the Oide Wiesn. Around half of them offer cashless payment. The Armbrustschützenzelt will be joining the cashless trend for the first time at Wiesn 2025, but not all waiters will be equipped with a corresponding device. The Münchner Stubn, on the other hand, only accepts payments by card or smartphone.
Four new rides at the Oktoberfest 2025

What would Oktoberfest be without its rides? This year, there are four new features that you can try out:
- Sky Lift: A viewing ride that offers you a perfect view over the festival grounds and Munich at a height of 71 meters thanks to panoramic windows.
- Happy Sailor: An up-and-down ride with a seafaring theme.
- Montgolfiere: A children’s carousel in hot air balloon design.
- Ghost Cave: A ghost train from 1965 that you can find at the Oidn Wiesn.
On the two family days on 23.09. and 30.09. you save money on the rides.
