No sooner has the Spring Festival in May come to an end than Munich’s festival fans are eagerly awaiting the Wiesn. For many, it’s the event of the year, where every free minute is spent. But you have to be able to afford it, because Oktoberfest isn’t exactly known for being cheap. Unfortunately, as is the case every year, this is reflected in the price of beer in 2026. While some vendors in the city center have recently even lowered their beer prices, the upward trend at the Wiesn continues. Still, we won’t be breaking the €16 mark this year.
Price increase compared to last year

The annual increase in Oktoberfest beer prices has become almost as much of a tradition as the festival itself . Due to the reduction in the value-added tax for the restaurant industry, people had actually hoped for a price freeze, but that dream has now been dashed: At the beginning of June, the new prices for festival beer were announced, and they were once again higher than last year.
While in 2025 you still had to pay between €14.50 and €15.80, Oktoberfest beer prices in 2026 range from €14.80 to €15.90. Although this keeps them below the dreaded €16 mark, it still represents a 2–3% increase compared to the previous year. It is up to the individual landlords to set their own prices.
Oktoberfest beer prices: Here’s what you’ll pay in the tents

Beer prices at the Wiesn vary depending on the tent. The cheapest option this year is the Museum Tent at the Oidn Wiesn, where you’ll pay €14.80 for a liter . Among the large festival tents, the Augustiner Hall is the only one where you won’t cross the €15 threshold, at €14.90. In contrast, the Armbrustschützen Festzelt, the Bräurosl, and the Löwenbräu are the most expensive, at €15.90.
Here’s an overview of the Oktoberfest beer prices at the major festival tents:
- Augustiner Festhalle: €14.90
- Fischer-Vroni: 15.75 euros
- Hacker Festzelt: €15.80
- Hofbräuhaus tent: 15.80 euros

In addition, there are the medium-sized venues and the tents of the Oidn Wiesn, which fall within the same price range. As always, Kuffler’s wine tent is a bit pricier: for a liter of wheat beer, you’ll have to shell out a hefty €18.40—a full 60 cents more than last year.
