What would the Wiesn be without its rides? Whether you’re a thrill seeker, rollercoaster enthusiast or carousel lover, there’s something for everyone at the world’s biggest folk festival. If you want to try out a particularly large number of attractions, it’s best to come on one of the two family days. These take place on both Tuesdays until 7 pm. Many of the prices are then discounted.
We introduce you to some of the most legendary Oktoberfest rides and also reveal what’ s new at Oktoberfest 2025.
Oktoberfest rides: the classics

The Wiesn offers a variety of classic rides that are a must at any folk festival. Every age group gets their money’s worth here.
- Chain carousels: Both small chain carousels and large Star Flyers are represented at the Wiesn. The latter are not for people with a fear of heights, as you can do your rounds at a height of 50 meters. The Wellenflug, on the other hand, combines a chain carousel with an up-and-down ride.
- Bumper cars: Ideal for releasing the accumulated aggression from road traffic. Some of the bumper cars also offer barrier-free access so that wheelchair users can also join in the fun.
- Grand Carousel: Hard to believe, but this classic tiered carousel has only been at the Wiesn since 2024. This ornately decorated ride is the world’s largest transportable carousel. So hop on one of the horses and take a ride!
- Devil’s Wheel: Not a classic funfair ride, but an absolute cult at the Wiesn. The Devil’s Wheel has been at the Oktoberfest since 1910. The principle is very simple. Riders get on the wheel and try to stay on it for as long as possible. To spur them on, the commander hails insults in Bavarian.
Oktoberfest rides: adrenaline rush on flat rides

If the classic carousels are too slow for you, you will find the right kick on one of the many fast-paced flat rides.
- Break Dance: a classic among the fast flat rides. The ride can now be found in almost 50 different versions at German folk festivals. Passengers are whirled around in circles and also spin on their own axis.
- Voodoo Jumper: Up and down you go on the Voodoo Jumper. As the name suggests, this is not a relaxed up-and-down ride. Instead, the jumps are fast and jerky.
- Mr. Gravity: On this disc, you don’t just move horizontally, but are also lifted vertically. Of course, you also spin in circles.
- Techno Power: Touted as the fastest carousel in Europe, you can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h on this flat ride. Get ready for a wild ride!
Oktoberfest rides: the roller coasters

The roller coasters at the Oktoberfest promise even more thrills than the folding rides.
- Alpina-Bahn: A high-speed roller coaster that, with a track length of 1020 meters and a maximum speed of 80 km/h, doesn’t have to hide behind stationary theme park roller coasters. It is the largest mobile roller coaster without a loop.
- Wild Mouse: It is characterized not so much by unusual ride figures, but primarily by its many 180° turns. Also an absolute classic.
- Olympia Looping: The largest transportable roller coaster in the world with its five colorful loops is a special eye-catcher. It now spends most of its time at the Vienna Prater and can also be found at the Oktoberfest and Winter Wonderland in London.
Rides at the Oidn Wiesn

The Oide Wiesn promises pure nostalgia. Unlike the rest of the festival grounds, you don’t have free access but have to pay admission. However, the tents are included and you only pay €1.50 for the rides themselves. Tip: Admission to the Oidn Wiens itself is also free from 9 pm!
- The Kettenflieger: A small historical chain carousel.
- Der Selbstfahrer: The only bumper car with wooden posts still in existence in Germany.
- Ride into paradise: A fast-paced hill-and-valley ride.
More Oktoberfest rides

The Wiesn has plenty of other attractions that guarantee fun. A small selection:
- Jim & Jasper: You can cool off on the largest transportable white water ride in Europe.
- Skyfall: Head for the heights on the Free Fall Tower. Enjoy the view before you plunge into the depths.
- Willenborg’s Ferris wheel: Just want the view without the drop? Then take a ride on the 50-metre-high Ferris wheel instead.
- Jumanji: A mad house that extends over three levels and features all kinds of optical illusions and traps.
- Witch’s swing: This swing makes you believe that the room around you is upside down. Be amazed by this illusion.
New rides at the Wiesn 2025

Last but not least, we don’t want to deprive you of the new rides at Oktoberfest 2025. There will be four new features this year.
- Skylift: This 71-metre-high tower with panoramic windows and a glass floor has actually been in the Olympic Park since August 2025. From here you have a fantastic 360° view of the Wiesn and the city.
- Montgolfiere: A children’s carousel with gondolas that look like hot air balloons.
- Happy Sailor: A hill-and-valley ride with a maritime seafaring theme.
- Ghost Cave: This ghost train dates back to 1965 and can be found at the Oidn Wiesn. A nostalgic dark ride awaits you.
