There’s a festive atmosphere once again at the Theresienwiese, where the rides spin their rounds daily and music echoes from the beer tents. Thanks to the 60th anniversary of the “Little Wiesn, ” the fun is far from over, and you can look forward to two full weeks of fun. The second week of the Spring Festival brings not only the usual favorites but also a new addition.
A budget-friendly start to the second week

We’re kicking off the second week of the Spring Festival with a retro twist. During the “Bring on the D-Mark” promotion day on Monday, April 27, you can get rid of your old money. The vendors at the stalls and rides will accept D-marks and pfennigs in addition to euros. One euro is equivalent to two marks. So if you still have D-marks lying around at home or know someone who’d like to get rid of theirs, now’s your chance.
On Tuesday, the fun continues right away with the next Family Day. From 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., you’ll get discounts on rides and some of the treats. Perfect if you want to save some money. The promotion applies to all visitors, not just families with children.
Luminous highlights and Traditional Customs Day

Things get especially magical on Wednesday and Thursday of the second week of the Spring Festival. On April 29, glowing hot-air balloons will rise into the sky at Nightglow . Starting at 8 p.m., the sky above Theresienwiese will transform into an enchanting light show. The fun continues on Thursday, when glowing figures on stilts will wander across the festival grounds starting at 6:30 p.m.
The second week of the Spring Festival ends just as it begins: old-school. On Tradition Day on Sunday, May 3, pure Bavarian tradition awaits you. Since 2012, this event has been held in the spirit of the Oide Wiesn at Oktoberfest and celebrates Bavarian culture. The Day of Tradition also marks the highlight and conclusion of the second week of the 2026 Spring Festival.
At 11 a.m., the traditional costume associations, accompanied by marching bands, will parade across the Theresienwiese, giving you a glimpse of the various styles of dirndls and lederhosen as well as their historical evolution. Later, the marching bands will play in both tents, creating a lively atmosphere. Depending on the weather, the traditional costume associations will continue to move around the outdoor grounds throughout the day, delighting you with dance performances.
