With the arrival of June, Pride Month has begun once again, and Munich is all about the rainbow flag. So you don’t have to wait until Christopher Street Day at the end of the month to experience the city’s diversity in all its facets —instead, celebrate Munich’s queer community starting June 11 during Pride Weeks. In addition to parties and concerts , exciting informational events, city tours, exhibitions, and more await you. With over 100 events, you’ll get the perfect mix of entertainment, fun, history, and information. We’ve put together a selection of events for you to attend during Pride Weeks from June 11 to 28.
Rainbow Concert
Pride Weeks kicks off with a major highlight: The Munich Philharmonic is teaming up with the Rainbow Sound Orchestra to perform works by Borbón, Cannabich, Farrenc, Monnot, Crawford Seeger, Strauch, and Zmelty for you at the Old Town Hall. The highlight is Florence Price’s Rainbow Waltz. People under 30 can look forward to specially discounted tickets for €11; otherwise, the regular price is €24.
Glockenbachfest
As always, the Glockenbachfest will take place in the neighborhood of the same name on the first weekend of Pride Weeks. Coinciding with Munich’s city anniversary, you can look forward to music and a stage program around Karl-Heinrich-Ulrichs-Platz on June 13. Starting at 7 p.m., DJ Poenitsch will be spinning for you and inviting you to dance at what is likely the oldest street festival in Munich’s queer neighborhood.
Pride Picnic
If you’re looking for a safe space to connect and chat with like-minded people, the Pride Picnic is just the place for you. Bring your own snacks, refreshments, and blankets, and look forward to a relaxed get-together in a cozy atmosphere at Kleinhesseloher See. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can meet instead at the Diversity Café, where drinks and cake are available at affordable prices. Kunsthalle Diversity Tour & After-Work
As part of Pride Weeks, the Kunsthalle is offering free guided tours of the exhibition “HAIR – POWER – DESIRE” with a focus on diversity. Learn more about the significance of hairstyles in drag and for gender roles. Afterward, dance to the beats of DJ Alkalino at the After Work party at Theatiner 8. No registration is required, and you can simply attend the party with your exhibition tickets.
Lesbian Film Event: “CARMEN & LOLA”
To mark CSD, celebrate the diversity of love at mathäser with the award-winning drama “Carmen & Lola.” The Spanish film tells the story of two young Romani women in Madrid who fall in love with each other against the expectations of their conservative community. The cast, featuring non-professional actresses from the Romani community, takes you on the two women’s courageous journey toward self-determination. The drama offers an honest portrait of identity, solidarity, and the unconditional freedom to love whomever you choose.
Lesbian Street Festival
The second weekend of Pride Weeks also features a street festival in Glockenbach. This year marks the fifth edition of the lesbian festival on Stephansplatz, complete with a colorful stage program. Look forward to music, performances, and great encounters. You can also refuel with delicious treats and learn about a wide variety of topics at the on-site booths.
Queer Book Day
Discover the diversity of queer literature at Queer Book Day 2026! Look forward to readings, chat with the authors, and browse through the selection of books yourself. Participants include Sabine Brandl, Anne Coersmeier, Ashan Delon, Anja Lehradt, Jan Ranft, Marc Urban, and Lili B. Wilms. Admission is donation-based, with a suggested donation of €3.
dieBühne: Queer Poetry Night
During Pride Weeks, Queer Slam Munich presents last season’s audience favorites live on stage. Without the pressure of competition, the slammers perform their best queer texts and get you in the mood for CSD. You’ll experience a varied evening full of touching poetry, empowering words, and pointed short stories.
Queer Pool Party
If there’s one thing that belongs in summer, it’s a proper pool party. The Michaeli-Bad will transform into a queer party zone where you can celebrate in style with great music and cool drinks. DJ BiMän, Pop Queen Pasta Parisa, and Uncle J will handle the music, while drag queen Phi Phi Cumfort and the Isarhechte will provide top-notch entertainment. Every ticket includes a welcome drink, so you can kick off the evening with a refreshing treat.
Christopher Street Day & Pride Mile
The finale of Pride Weeks is, of course, the CSD weekend from June 26 to 28. The highlight is the colorful parade on June 27, which winds its way from Frauenhoferstraße to the PrideMeile on Ludwigstraße. You can visit the PrideMeile all weekend long and look forward to a varied program on multiple stages. From the Feldherrenhalle to the Siegestor, music, talks, and parties await you, along with a wide selection of food stands. The PrideMeile is taking place for the first time in 2026 and is therefore a brand-new addition to Munich Pride Weeks, serving as a fitting finale.
