A lot is happening at the German theme parks. While the Belantis park near Leipzig is gradually being transformed into a German offshoot of the French Parc Astérix, there is also news from Legoland Germany. Located in Bavaria, the Merlin Group park is the third most visited theme park in Germany after Europapaprk and Phantasialand. A new themed area is set to make it even more attractive in the future.

Legoland Germany currently has 11 themed areas with around 64 attractions for young and old. You will also find thousands of models with over 55 million Lego bricks. Legoland Germany near Günzburg will be the first Legoland park in the world to have a dedicated Harry Potter themed area. This will be created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global. In addition to the new Harry Potter Land, there will also be a matching accommodation in the vacation village, which will provide a magical overnight stay. Further details about the new theme world will be announced next year.

But even now, a visit to Legoland near Günzburg is already worthwhile, especially for families with children. Just this year, another small Peppa Pig park opened next to Legoland, which is particularly suitable for small children. With your older children, you can visit the actual theme park instead, where you can expect rollercoasters and other rides as well as shows and events.
It takes about an hour and 20 minutes by car from Munich to Günzburg. Prices for day tickets vary depending on the season and start from €36 for adults in the low season and €64 in the high season.
