After the big announcement of the two BTS concerts at Munich’s Allianz Arena, there was a veritable rush for tickets. Within no time at all, the two shows—which will be the only ones in Germany— were sold out. This coming weekend, the time has finally come—fans from all over Germany and beyond are expected in the Bavarian capital. To help you get in the right mood for the concerts, we’ll tell you about the events taking place around BTS’s visit to Munich and provide you with important information about the shows. Guide to BTS: Getting There and Permitted Items
The BTS concerts will take place at the Allianz Arena in Fröttmaning; these are open-air shows. The weather is supposed to be good, so you don’t have to worry about rain. If you’re planning to line up early, be sure to bring sunscreen and plenty of water; collapsible water bottles up to 0.5 liters are allowed. You can’t bring your own food into the stadium, but food and drinks will be available for purchase on site. Your bags must not exceed A4 size, and on-site storage options are limited. Deodorants, perfumes, deodorant sprays, and selfie sticks must also be left outside. The shows start at 8 p.m.; doors open at 5 p.m. on both days. You can reach the Allianz Arena by taking the U6 subway and getting off at the Fröttmaning station, from where it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the venue.
Random Numbering Process
Those of you with standing-room-only tickets who are hoping for a spot in the front row can participate in the random numbering process. You’ll be assigned a number that determines your place in line outside the Allianz Arena. Camping outside the arena is not allowed! Check-in for the process opens at 10 a.m. at the South Bus Parking Lot at the concert venue. You have until 3 p.m. to get your number. Groups of up to four people are allowed. If there are more of you, you’ll have to split up. After that, you have until 4 p.m. to take your place before admission begins at 5 p.m. If you’re not interested in getting a number, you don’t have to participate in the process and can enter the arena after those with numbered spots.
Afterparties at Backstage & Ampere
If you still haven’t had enough after the concerts, you should stop by either Backstage on Saturday or Ampere on Sunday. That’s where the after-parties for the shows will be held , giving you a chance to relive the evening while enjoying BTS’s biggest hits. The events are organized by Korean Party Factory, which hosts parties throughout Germany . Advance tickets cost €15; tickets at the door are €20.
Korean Street Food Market x Midnight Bazar
Just like every weekend, the Midnight Bazaar will take place at Pineapple Park—this time with a South Korean special. For three days, the night flea market will be all about K-pop, offering a colorful program for fans in addition to the usual vendor booths. Look forward to K-pop movies, dance workshops, karaoke, and contests. There’s also a wide selection of Korean street food for you to sample. The first 200 visitors each day will also receive a free goodie bag. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can wrap up the evening at the K-pop party.
BTS Café Event at Niu
There’ll be plenty of culinary delights at the BTS Café event at Niu Asian Café, where you can hang out with other fans. Reservations aren’t possible—just stop by and look forward to freebies with your drink. With your order , you’ll receive a BTS cup sleeve and a photocard, plus a little extra if you order food there. BTS Pop-Up at Utopia
Utopia is turning into a BTS paradise! The pop-up on Heßstraße has been open for you since early July and will remain open until the 18th. So if you don’t have a chance to stop by during the concert weekend, you can still catch up later. An exhibition featuring photos of the band, instruments, records, and other memorabilia awaits you. There are also screens you can interact with—for example, to display song lyrics—perfect for practicing them one last time before the show. Plus, of course, there’s plenty of merch for you to shop. Before your visit , you’ll need to book a 30-minute time slot online during which you can stop by the pop-up.
BTS World Tour Weekend at Neo Tokyo
At Münchner Freiheit, the manga shop Neo Tokyo is waiting for you—it sells K-pop fan merchandise in addition to Japanese comics and anime goods. To celebrate the concerts, the store is extending its hours for you on Friday, Saturday, and even Monday. Instead of opening at 11 a.m., the store will open at 9 a.m. every day and stay open until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. There’s also a huge BTS restock, so you can stock up on everything your ARMY heart desires. Like the Allianz Arena, Münchner Freiheit is located on the U6 line, so you’ll conveniently pass right by it on your way to the stadium.
