Join the Future—that’s the motto of this year’s Festival of the Future, and the name says it all. The organizers, 1E9 and the Deutsches Museum, warmly invite you to get involved, because we’re shaping the future together. Now in its fourth year, the Festival of the Future takes place in early July and offers you insights into the possibilities and visions of tomorrow’s world.
Expert Conference and Family Days

The Festival of the Future takes place from July 2 to 5 and is divided into two parts. On the first two days—Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3—the organizer is holding a conference for industry professionals , for which you’ll need a ticket. Here, you can look forward to exciting industry talks, workshops, and networking opportunities. Topics will include AI and robotics, among others. Therefore, the conference is particularly relevant for researchers, entrepreneurs, and other professionals; however, everyone is, of course, welcome to purchase a ticket.
The second part consists of Family Days with a street festival over the weekend, during which the Festival of the Future welcomes you with free admission. On Saturday, July 4, you can also take a look behind the scenes at the Deutsches Museum. Join guided tours that take you into archives and laboratories you normally can’t access. The tours are also free; you just need to register on-site.
Program for the Family Days at the Festival of the Future

In addition to the guided tours on Saturday, there’s a whole range of other cool activities to participate in and marvel at on July 4 and 5. During the Family Days, there will also be numerous exciting talks covering a wide range of fields and industries. From medicine and mobility to art and culture, a wide variety of topics will be explored. But you won’t just be listening—you’ll also be able to participate in workshops, games, and other interactive activities.
One highlight is the XR exhibition “Munich Beyond,” presented by the Filmfest at the Festival of the Future. Spanning 500 m², it not only introduces you to regional and international projects but also offers a VR experience that takes you on an adventure to Taiwan. This and many other highlights are on the program, making the Festival of the Future an exciting experience for young and old alike!
