Munich is a city of culinary delights, offering everything from upscale restaurants to specialty cafés. Those with a sweet tooth will find what they’re looking for at the pâtisseries and chocolatiers in the city on the Isar . And if that’s not enough, a visit to the MUCHO Chocolate Festival should be at the top of your list. The festival is the first of its kind in Munich and is making its debut this year at Pineapple Park.
A festival to celebrate the anniversary
Twenty-five years ago, Christine Luger opened the specialty shop Chocolate & More right on Munich’s Viktualienmarkt. For its 20th anniversary, the store underwent a major renovation and was renamed House of Cacao. Here, you’ll find yourself in a 40-square-meter chocolate paradise with everything your heart desires—and it’s been that way for a quarter of a century now. Of course, that calls for a celebration, and so the Munich Chocolate Festival—MUCHO for short—was born.
On the last weekend in October, House of Cacao invites you to celebrate its 25th anniversary together at Munich’s first chocolate festival. In collaboration with Midnight Bazar, you’ll have two days to immerse yourself completely in the world of chocolate. Because, of course, the focus is on cacao, which you’ll get to experience in all its facets at MUCHO.
Tastings, talks, and more at the MUCHO Chocolate Festival

On Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, Pineapple Park will become a festival venue for chocoholics. On both stages , you can look forward to fascinating talks about cocoa and chocolate— which won’t shy away from more serious topics either. You can also enjoy film screenings and mini-tastings here. If that’s not enough, head to the tasting area, where you’ll be served chocolate in the most unusual combinations —for example, with cheese or gin. You’ll need a separate ticket for the tasting area.
