Does Munich really need another burger chain? That’s a question some of you might be asking yourselves right now. After all, with Ruff’s Burgers, Hans im Glück, Goldies, and many more, we already have numerous chains and franchises of this kind in our city. But Traumkuh wants to be different from all of them. To that end, the franchise places a special emphasis on quality and in-house production. In just a few days, the franchise will open its first restaurant in Munich—then you can see for yourselves.
Only the second location in Bavaria

It all began in Frankfurt am Main. That’s where Traumkuh opened its first restaurant 10 years ago, back then still under the name “Guter Bulle.” Following a lawsuit by Red Bull, which claimed there was a risk of confusion, the burger joint renamed itself Traumkuh. The franchise has been operating under this name ever since—and with great success. The chain now has eight restaurants across Germany, including one location in Würzburg.
Nevertheless, things have been rather slow in southern Germany so far: Würzburg is currently the only Traumkuh location in Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg has yet to get any. That’s set to change, however, and Munich can soon look forward to its own Traumkuh branch. The restaurant is scheduled to open no later than Friday, October 2, at Kapuzinerstraße 29.
High-quality meat and homemade bread at Traumkuh
Quality is a top priority at Traumkuh. That’s why the franchise uses high-quality ingredients and ages its meat for 16 days after delivery. The meat is then freshly ground before it goes on your burgers. In addition , each location bakes its own bread— rather than having it delivered—and tailors it to the burgers. In Munich, you can also expect high-quality coffee from a portafilter machine, so you don’t have to compromise here either.
Burgers at Traumkuh in Munich will start at 12€. You’ll enjoy them in the 500-square-meter dining area, which seats about 100 guests. Under Japanese-style pink cherry blossoms, you’ll be served your Black Angus burgers with house-made fries —and can sit back and savor them. Exclusive VIP rooms are available for private events or parties and can be rented.
