Fall is just around the corner, and with it comes a particularly charming tradition to the region around Munich. From September 25 to 27, 2026, the Sickertshofen estate in Schwabhausen will once again transform into a colorful gathering place for nature, art, and food enthusiasts. At the popular “Art and Pumpkins” event, you can look forward to a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at the pumpkin festival in the estate’s unique setting. Whether it’s giant pumpkins, impressive handicrafts, or a vibrant cultural program, there’s an incredible amount for young and old alike to discover at this traditional farm festival!
80 exhibitors, live music, and fascinating handicrafts
The festival centers around some 80 exhibitors who will delight you with arts and crafts and culinary delights. Take a leisurely stroll through the festival grounds and marvel at the imaginative pumpkin exhibition, while a chainsaw artist creates spectacular wood sculptures right before your eyes. A variety of live music, as well as the drum and calabash school, will provide the perfect musical atmosphere. In addition, numerous booths will treat you to a wide variety of delicacies, ensuring that culinary delights are not overlooked.
Fun for the whole family at the Pumpkin Festival
The festival is the perfect fall outing, especially for families. The youngest visitors can look forward to an exciting children’s theater and creative pumpkin carving. A real highlight for adventurers is the straw bale maze and the corn maze. Of course, your four-legged family members don’t have to stay home either: dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash throughout the entire grounds.
