Despite the rainy weather this summer, Deck21 recently opened on the roof terrace of the Olympic Hall. Munich residents who want to enjoy a sundowner in a relaxed atmosphere still have time until October.
One of the strangest summers in living memory is drawing to a close, but some of us are still longing for that summer feeling. If you feel the same way, we have good news for you. Summer is extended until October in the new rooftop bar in Oympiapark, and in good weather even throughout the fall.
On the roof of the Olympic Hall, two floors above the former Coubertinplatz, Deck21 opened its doors in August under the most unfavorable conditions imaginable. Nevertheless, the Mediterranean ambience, the beautiful view of the park and the small but delicious menu convinced many – especially students and the few tourists to be found in Munich this year – to brave the elements and come.
But with the weather improving now, it’s just the perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a drink. As already mentioned, the menu is clearly laid out, but has something for every taste – especially when it comes to drinks. There is the classic Negroni, a basil spritz, an orange-rosemary spritz and a nice selection of wines, beers, long drinks and soft drinks.
For aperitif lovers – especially vegetarians – there are also several gastronomic options based on Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. A selection of dishes that fits in well with the overall concept of the bar. The large parasols and relaxed lounge music are certainly reminiscent of a vacation spot in southern countries.
Deck21 is open Thursdays to Sundays from 14:00 (Thursdays and Fridays 16:00) until 22:30. So if you don’t want to let go of summer just yet, you’ve come to the right place.
