Hiking, running, cycling— exercise is very popular among Munich residents. They especially enjoy getting out into nature, so they can enjoy a beautiful view while working out. Sometimes, however, they do end up at the gym, where they either lift weights or burn off energy with indoor cycling and Reformer Pilates. The latter, in particular , is enjoying steadily growing popularity, which is why more and more studios specializing in this sport are popping up. We’re sharing a few addresses to give you an overview.
PLX

PLX has two locations in Munich: one at Wiener Platz and, most recently , another on Hohenzollernstraße. The studio in Schwabing is brand-new and visually striking with its warm berry tones. Ten Reformers are available here, and the owners deliberately keep class sizes small so that the trainers can give you individual attention. A total of 25 trainers offer classes at PLX, so you can sign up with the one you like best.
Reformer Loft
Reformer Lost celebrated its grand opening last October and is therefore also quite new in Munich. The owners have made it their mission to bring Reformer Pilates to western Munich, since most studios are located closer to the city center. Thanks to its immediate proximity to the Hirschgarten S-Bahn station, the location is well-connected. Here, too, group sizes are kept small, ensuring a more intimate experience. At the counter , you can buy protein bars and kombucha to refuel after your workout.
body + soul

Although not a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio, the fitness chain body + soul is still a great place to start. The gym is one of the most popular spots among Urban Sports Club members and offers Reformer classes in addition to free weights and equipment. After an intense Pilates session, you can unwind in the studio’s wellness area—for example, by visiting the sauna.
Reformer Club
The Reformer Club has three locations in Munich and can also be found in other cities across Germany. You’ll train at three different levels, depending on how long you’ve been practicing Reformer Pilates. Absolute beginners must first take a single introductory class, where the basics and the equipment will be explained to you in detail . After that, nothing stands in the way of your successful career as a Pilates Princess or Prince!
Reformer for her
Trendy fitness meets retro chic. The frames of the Reformers here aren’t made of metal as usual, but of wood, and the decor features bright mint colors. As the name suggests, Refomer for her is a studio for women and offers them a safe space. Still, men aren’t left out entirely when participants bring their partners to the “Bring Your Boyfriend” classes . Moms can bring their children to dedicated classes, and if you’d like to try your hand at being an instructor, you can get certified at Reformer for Her.
LevelOut

LevelOut also has several locations in Munich: You can train at different levels here in both Neuhausen and Schwanthaler Höhe. The offerings include special classes for new moms who want to get back into exercise after giving birth. There are also dedicated classes for teams, which you can book either as one-time corporate events or as regular activities. LevelOut also has its own app that makes it easy to manage your Reformer sessions.
