If you’re looking to take a day trip with the whole family around Munich, why not stop by the Poing Wildlife Park? This natural paradise entices visitors with free-roaming fallow deer and predator enclosures. Plus, there’s a spectacular (water) playground here !
A quick tip: If you’re looking for something truly extraordinary to do with the family, be sure to check out this interactive experience!
Poing Wildlife Park: Experience Nature and Animals Up Close

Shortly after entering Poing Wildlife Park, you’re immersed in a completely different world. The first major highlight for kids is the tame, free-roaming mouflon and fallow deer, which eat right out of your hand (special feed bags are available at the ticket office).
The forest loop trail takes you past brown bears, wolves, lynx, and curious raccoons. During an exciting birds-of-prey show, eagles and falcons glide overhead. But the real highlight for the kids awaits after the first leg of the trail.
The Adventure Playground: A Paradise for Little Explorers

The huge adventure playground in the middle of the park leaves city playgrounds far behind. A massive woodenpirate ship and a Western fort invite kids to play, while long slides and fast zip lines provide thrills.
On warm days, the adjacent water playground is a huge draw. Here, the little ones can pump water, build dams, and splash around carefree. And at the picnic areas, you can relax while the kids let off steam.
Practical Tips for the Perfect (and Stress-Free) Day Trip to Poing

As soon as the kids discover the water playground, things are going to get wet! So be sure to pack a change of clothes, swim trunks, and a towel! Since the parking lots fill up quickly on sunny weekends, it’s best to arrive first thing in the morning when the park opens.
The paths are great for strollers and handcarts. While there are snack stands on site, the many beautiful picnic areas around the playground make bringing your own food the best (and most affordable) option.
