The idea of eternal life and infinity has always fascinated mankind. It has long since ceased to be an abstract idea and has become an integral part of our reality – as demonstrated by mathematics, physics and cosmology, among others. Philosophy and religion also deal intensively with this concept. From January 11, 2026, all these disciplines will come together at St. Mark’s Church in the breathtaking show “INFINITY – From the Moment to Eternity”, inviting us to reflect on ourselves and explore the big questions of meaning. Infinity becomes a tangible experience
Infinity is beyond imagination. But at “INFINITY – From the Moment to Eternity” you can experience it more tangibly than ever before. Projections full of light and a soundtrack inspired by Bach take you on a journey through space and time. In eight captivating chapters, mathematics, physics, cosmology, theology and philosophy combine to create a unique narrative. It makes complex relationships between time, space and existence understandable and emotionally tangible. On your journey, you will cross NASA star fields, glowing nebulae and black holes. You will discover the infinite structures of geometry and immerse yourself in abstract representations of infinity from theology and philosophy. You will be accompanied by Gregorian chants and spherical space sounds. The result is a living universe that appeals to all the senses and guarantees an unforgettable multi-sensory experience.
The infinite expanse of the universe makes us aware of our own transience and invites us to reflect on life and our place in it. The artist collective PROJEKTIL takes you on a journey from the smallest moment to eternity, from the microcosm to the macrocosm and from your own self to finiteness. The show gives you the opportunity to reflect on yourself and delve into the deep layers of your own existence. Are you ready to experience St. Mark’s Church in a completely new dimension? Look forward to goosebumps, amazement and insights – from January 11!
