If you’re craving East and Southeast Asian cuisine in Munich, you’ll be spoiled for choice, as we have a huge selection of Korean, Japanese, Indian, and Asian fusion restaurants. If you’d rather get your hands dirty and prepare your own dishes, that’s no problem either. Our city has plenty of Asian supermarkets, ranging from chains such as Go Asia to small delicatessens on the corner. However, the Asiamarkt i.SHOP stands out in particular, as it offers an especially large selection that is not limited to purely Asian cuisine.
The world of cuisine

i.SHOP has been in Haidhausen for over 20 years. Together with the branches in Hanover and Braunschweig, it is one of only three locations in the whole of Germany. Here you can find over 10,000 products from all over the world, with a focus on Asia. The range includes food from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and India.
You won’t find such a wide range in any other market in Munich. The diversity is also reflected in the name: the “i” stands for “international, “ as no particular country takes precedence. You’ll also find a small selection of South American and African goods. If you don’t have any ideas about what to cook, i.SHOP regularly shares recipes on Instagram.
