What is Candlelight Babies?
At Candlelight Babies, the joy of music takes center stage. The 45-minute live concert is designed for babies between 0 and 36 months and their parents. Well-known classical melodies are performed in gentle, age-appropriate arrangements, while thousands of candles create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
What makes it special is the design of the space: In the so-called “Free Space,” a softly padded area, babies can move around freely, play, and cuddle. Adults sit comfortably on tatami mats and experience the concert right next to their children.
Musically, you can expect a journey through the world of classical music. The program includes, among other pieces, Vivaldi’s *The Four Seasons*, Bach’s *Air*, Mozart’s *A Little Night Music*, Brahms’s famous *Lullaby*, and *The Swan* by Camille Saint-Saëns. Familiar children’s song melodies such as *Ah vous dirai-je, Maman* and *Old MacDonald Had a Farm* are also part of the program.
Little Ears, Big Sounds: Why Music Is Good for Babies
Even the youngest children respond to melodies, rhythms, and gentle sounds. Music can help them relax, stimulate their senses, and gather their first musical impressions. It’s especially wonderful when parents and babies experience these moments together: While the little ones listen curiously, kick their legs, or snuggle up, the grown-ups enjoy a little break from everyday life. Candlelight Babies combines these first musical discoveries with precious time spent together.

Kulturzentrum Trudering

The Trudering Cultural Center at Wasserburger Landstraße 32 transforms into an atmospheric concert venue for the whole family. Since its opening in 2005, it has been one of the cultural hubs of this Munich neighborhood.
Getting there is easy, even with a stroller: From the Trudering train station, you can reach the cultural center in just a few minutes by taking bus 193. If you’re coming by car, you’ll find free parking on Feldbergstraße. Thanks to step-free access, an automatic entrance door, and an elevator, there’s hardly anything standing in the way of a relaxing visit.
A special outing for you and your little ones
Between naps, diaper bags, and everyday life, there’s sometimes little time for shared activities outside your own four walls. Candlelight Babies offers you the opportunity to experience something new with your little ones, immerse yourselves in the world of music, and get to know other parents.
There are four ticket options available: Adult + Baby, Additional Adult, Accompanying Child (ages 3–11), and a Family Package for two adults and one baby.
The concerts usually take place in the late morning or around noon, making them easy to fit into the family’s daily routine.
