It feels like it’s still late summer and suddenly Christmas is just around the corner again. And the latest change in the weather makes this all too clear. We’re racing towards the big festive season at breakneck speed and can literally feel the Christmas stress coming on. So for everyone who wants to take a break and slowly get into the Christmas spirit, we have just the thing: 5 beautiful, romantic and funny Christmas films on Netflix.
1. our little secret
First up is the brand new Netflix film Our Little Secret, starring Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding. The plot revolves around ex-partners Avery and Logan who, through an unexpected turn of events, are forced to spend Christmas together when they realize their new partners are siblings. However, as they try to keep their former relationship a secret, they become closer than they thought.
2nd Best. Christmas. Ever!
Charlotte and her family accidentally end up at the home of her old college friend Jackie, who seems to have the perfect life, just before Christmas. Spurred on by rivalry and resentment, Charlotte is determined to take the opportunity to prove her wrong and becomes entangled in more and more chaos, which ultimately threatens to ruin Christmas for everyone.
3rd Office Christmas Party
We also have a tip for anyone who doesn’t like all the kitschy Christmas movies and would rather have something to laugh about. In this comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, the branch of a company is about to be closed down by the strict CEO Carol. To save the business, her brother plans an extravagant Christmas party to impress an important client, which easily gets out of hand.
4 Klaus
The story of Santa Claus – retold. A lazy letter carrier is sent to a town where two groups despise and fight each other. There he meets the white-bearded Klaus and the adventure begins. Klaus is a beautifully animated film about good deeds and love. Told in a clever and socially critical way, this Christmas movie on Netflix is nevertheless a hit for the whole family.
5 Falling for Christmas
And once again Lindsay Lohan delights us with a wonderfully cheesy Christmas romance. She plays a spoiled hotel heiress who loses her memory in a skiing accident. She is then taken in by a friendly family in a rather tranquil guesthouse. In search of herself, she gets to know herself anew.
